You can now rent and stay in Carrie’s apartment from Sex and the City

There’s been so much hype around the upcoming Sex and the City reboot ‘And Just Like That…’, we can’t help but count down the days until we can watch it. From the amazing outfits filling us with major wardrobe envy, to the intriguing plot line (what’s going on with Carrie and Big?!), our love for the hit TV show very much lives on.

If you’re as big of a Sex and the City fan as we are, you’ll be excited to hear you can now rent and stay in Carrie’s infamous apartment thanks to Airbnb. The property rental service has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products ahead of the new series to recreate Carrie’s Upper East Side brownstone apartment.

The catch for us UK fans is that the apartment is in New York. The space can also only be booked for one night, for two guests. But, it costs a very purse-friendly $23 a night to stay and there are loads of perks.

Carrie’s recreated apartment is in Chelsea, New York, rather than the exact spot it is in the show. However, it’s filled with loads of iconic and memorable items from the series, including Carrie’s desk and laptop, where she would often sit and ‘couldn’t help but wonder…’ for her newspaper column.

Inside the flat, you can also find the chair designed by Carrie’s ex flame Aidan Shaw. But the part of the flat we’re most excited to see – no, not the kitchen – is the epic walk-in wardrobe.

Not only has Carrie’s magnificent wardrobe been recreated, but it’s also been kitted out with some of her best designer outfits. You can play dress-up in Carrie’s white tutu from the opening credits, or her Manolo Blahniks, to feel like you’re really living Carrie’s life. What’s more, guests will be treated to a styling session, photo shoot, brunch, cosmopolitans and even a virtual greeting from Sarah Jessica Parker herself.

‘The Carrie Bradshaw character is near and dear to my heart, and revisiting her world for the continuation of the Sex and the City story has been such a joy,’ Sarah Jessica Parker said in a statement revealing the news. ‘I’m excited for our audience to experience Carrie’s New York like never before and walk in her shoes, quite literally, for the first time.’

Bookings for Carrie’s Sex and the City apartment open on 8 November, and proceeds will go to The Studio Museum in Harlem. Trip to New York, anyone?…
