While the Cambridges certainly do get out and about on public engagements, few people have the chance to get up and close and personal with Prince William, Kate Middleton and their royal brood.
They do of course have a team of people around them who work tirelessly to keep the Cambridge cogs in motion, and news has it that the Duke and Duchess are hiring for an exciting role within that team.
William and Kate are currently on the hunt for a digital communications officer. ‘This role will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working together to communicate the work of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The successful candidate will be key in supporting the official social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook) of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.’
This comes not long after Kate and Will made their YouTube debut, so it’s not surprising they’re looking for someone to help with managing their expanding online presence.
So what does it take to be submitted into The Household of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as digital communications officer?
They’d like you to have experience in online content creation, be a creative thinker, have excellent interpersonal skills and be knowledgeable about the diversity of communities in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and worldwide.
Basically, it sounds like the ideal job for someone who’s clued up on social media and all things royal. Who knows, maybe you’ll even meet the Queen! Prince William and Kate Middleton always look like they’re having such fun on public engagements and are always up for trying new things and having a laugh – think Kate Middleton abseiling, Prince William playing rugby or that time the pair of them baked bagels in Brick Lane – so we’ve no doubt this job would be a lot of fun.
If that sounds like you, you can read more about the role and apply for the job online here. Good luck!
