Kate Middleton’s wardrobe is certainly one of the most monitored in the world. Every time the Duchess appears in something new, there’s a total buzz around where she got it from. Luckily for us, Kate isn’t adverse to more affordable high street labels, like ZARA, or even more casual looks that us non-royals could wear regularly ourselves.
The latest look from Kate Middleton that has filled us with style envy is a khaki coloured quilted jacket. While visiting the Alexandra Park Sports Hub in Glasgow, she stepped out in a black polo neck jumper and skinny jeans, complete with a stylish quilted gilet, laced boots, and a colourful striped scarf.
The versatile jacket in question is from none other than designer label Ganni. That’s right, Kate is officially now a #GanniGirl. It’s no surprise to see the ‘Kate Middleton effect’ has come out in full force for this item, with the jacket selling out on the Selfridges website. However, the exact same quilted number is still available to buy directly from the Ganni website.
The Duchess of Cambridge was in Glasgow as part of her COP26 visit with husband Prince William. Considering the COP26 conference is all about the environment, Kate was sure to bring the theme into her clothing. The jacket is made from 100 per cent recycled polyester, making it a more eco-conscious choice.
As much as we love it, Kate’s designer option might not fall into everyone’s budget, so we’ve found some more affordable alternatives that look almost identical. And, in line with Kate’s effort to dress sustainably, think about the #30wears test before buying (will you wear it a minimum of 30 times?) and choose items that will have longevity in your wardrobe (we can definitely imagine pulling this out every year as an extra winter layer!)
