John Lewis’s newest collaboration collection nails effortless style from £39

It is no secret that John Lewis has been making moves over the past 12 months to expand its offering and has launched over 50 new fashion and beauty brands in-store and online. In addition to welcoming new brands to the store, however, the retailer has also been busy working on its own in-house fashion line, Kin.

After a successful capsule collection with Neo-Japonism artist and calligrapher Rie Takeda back in 2020, John Lewis has just revealed its latest Kin collaboration collection with none other than Swiss graphic artist Julmeme.

Julmeme studied in Geneva before moving to Japan to explore design and mix Swiss typography with Japanese kanji and the new and exclusive Kin x Julmeme collection is heavily influenced by this.

What can you expect from the collection then? In short, simple but elegant design teamed with bold visual concepts and a focus on branding and typography.

Referring to the collection, John Lewis said it ‘love(s) the stories and messages behind Julmeme’s work which are connected to Japanese tradition and symbolism’ and we couldn’t agree more.
