From TV stars like Lorraine Kelly to royals like the Duchess of Sussex, everyone loves a bit of Zara. The Spanish store is known for its consistent ability to offer trend-led fashion at affordable prices – but very now and then, however, one particular product comes along that causes even more of a frenzy than usual amongst its shoppers.
This time, it’s a pair of £25.99 velvet mules, which have proved so popular that Prima reports that they sold out completely online in just 24 hours (well, at that price, we’re not surprised…).
But fear not – if you’re a fan of the comfortable flats, which feature cute black and gold leopard embroidery detail, and weren’t lucky enough to get your hands on a pair from the first drop, the website says that another batch is ‘coming soon’.

To make sure you’re at the very front of the queue for the shoes’ comeback, you can sign up to receive an email when they’re back in stock – and its worth keeping your eyes peeled if you pop into a local store, as some still have a pair or two hiding on the shelves.
Of course, nothing will set off A/W 18’s ongoing animal print trend quite like these leopard-adorned lovelies – but if you really need a pair of flat black mules stat, here are some high street alternatives that are available to shop now, including a couple of on-sale bargains that you don’t want to miss. Happy shopping!
