The headband has had a major revival this season, with high-end fashion labels embracing the old school trend on their catwalks and high street brands following suit in their summer ranges.
In fact, Accessorize recently told Drapers that in its books, ‘2019 will forever be known as ‘the year of the headband’, with huge sales across all categories. So, it’s no wonder that the latest offering from Zara has become a complete sell-out success.
Earlier this month, the Spanish retailer dropped a new hair accessory that would give Gucci and Prada a run for their money. The limited edition rhinestone-encrusted headband is beautiful to say the least; some might even call a chic, modern-day tiara.
As you can expect, the accessory – which is only priced at £17.99, not that we needed another incentive to buy it – became a huge hit among shoppers, selling out in less than 24 hours, according to Marie Claire. But if you missed out on the chance to get your hands on it the first time, fear not.
Rumour has it that the headband is set to be restocked due to popular demand. And what’s more? It’ll be available in a new colourway too. Zara has yet to confirm the date of the restock, but in the meantime, the brand’s store checker suggests that there are still a few left in various stores across the country. So, it sounds like its time to go on a hunt.
Of course, this isn’t the only high street headband to receive sell-out success almost immediately. Back in spring, Oliver Bonas’ khaki animal print headband was the ultimate must-have accessory as it combined the two biggest trends of the year – animal print and headbands.
Speaking to Stylist, an Oliver Bonas spokesperson revealed that the brand’s range of headbands were ‘absolutely flying off the shelves’, with most designs selling out within two weeks or less – the most popular item being the £18 khaki design.
