One of our favourite things about the winter season is, of course, all of the fashion updates – from layering and knitwear to cosy coats and hats.
But last year, one cult A/W item became an instant hit ahead of the game by selling out in just 24 hours before the cold snap even hit: Zara’s famous lace-up ankle boots. And guess what? They’re not only back in stock but they’re on sale.
The retailer, which has a flair for creating cult products that everyone wants to get their hands on, first launched its lace-up heeled leather boots in two colours: powder blue and cream.
Originally priced at £95.99, the colourways sold out almost immediately at the time of launch despite the fact the temperatures outside were still soaring. But now the shoes, which come in the original hues as well as a winter-appropriate chocolate brown colour, are available for just £39.99.
The boots, which can be styled with anything from a pair of wide-leg jeans to a gorgeous midi, were without doubt the retailer’s hottest footwear of the season, and if their track record is anything to go by, this sale is set to be an even bigger success for the store.
The shoes are a high-street version of this season’s Victorian shoe trend, which according to digital fashion bible, Who What Wear, is set to be the ‘it’ design of the rest of the winter. Their experts even dubbed the Zara pair ‘hero shoes’, and fashion editors across the industry seem to agree.
Each colourway of the boots features a soft leather upper, laces on the front, lined wide flat heels, square toes and zip fastening on the inside.
We’d highly advise that you run to get your order in now before the stock disappears once again…
