Vino fans listen up: if you fancy sipping on some glorious organic wine this summer, and not just for free but actually be paid for the pleasure of doing so, have we got the dream job for you.
Vintage Roots make organic wine and they want to find one lucky person to taste test 12 of their finest bottles – all you have to do in return is give your honest review of each one. Even better, you’ll be Vintage Roots’ ‘official summer wine taster’, which means they’ll pay you £250 in return for all your hard work.
It’s not a position of full-time employment but it certainly is a fantastic one-off opportunity for anyone who knows a thing or two about (and loves) wine. You don’t need to be a wine connoisseur either, but it would help if you know your Sauvignon from your Merlot.
The selected winner will receive two cases of wine to road test: the Rose Summer Six and the Organic Everyday Case. The Rose Summer Six, which usually costs £58, include one bottle of each of the following:
- Giol Perla Rosato Frizzante (distinctive, floral, cherry)
- Domaine de Brau Rosé (French, robust, juicy)
- Jas d’Esclans Rosé Côtes de Provence Cru Classé (refined, cranberry, cherry)
- Albet i Noya Curiosa Rosat (fruity, fresh, zingy)
- Adobe Rose Reserva (Chilean, strawberry, plum)
- Bohem Tempranillo Rosé (savoury, strawberry, off-dry)
Meanwhile, the Organic Everyday Case (worth £49) comprises of three bottles of Wild Thing Sauvignon Blanc (Spanish, lively, uplifting) and thee bottles of Wild Thing Merlot (Spanish, plum, blackberry).
To enter, simply post a picture to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram enjoying your favourite glass of vino either with friends or at home after a busy day and tag @VintageRootsWines on Instagram and @VintageRootsltd on Facebook and Twitter – and don’t forget to hashtag it #summerwinetaster and #comewinewithme.
You have until 31 August to enter and the winner will be announced on 4 September. You must be a UK resident and aged 18 or over to enter.
Cheers to that!
