Trinny and Susannah just gave us some amazing wedding guest outfit advice

Trinny and Susannah have reunited! No, sadly not on our screens (a la the 2019 reboot of How To Look Good Naked), but at least on Instagram, where they just gave some excellent wedding guest dress advice that we can all benefit from.

YOU’s resident agony aunt Trinny shared an outfit of the day video of the pair with her 491k followers, revealing that ‘we attended the same wedding and her outfit was fabulous.

‘It looks so expensive but she told me it was £20 from the Zara sale and all about accessorising… blinging in gold, the chunky heeled sandals are Giuseppe Zanotti, bag from Jigsaw and jewellery from COS.’

Fans couldn’t believe that that Susannah’s dress was that affordable, with one writing: ‘Zara only for 20,00?!!! ? You got to be kidding me!! Whoop, whoop? Well done Suzy!’ But it’s true, and actually the gorgeous fuschia number has been reduced even further to just £9.99.

The bad news, however? It’s sold out online – and at that price, we can’t say we’re surprised. You can still cross your fingers and pop into your local store to see if there’s still one hanging from the rails, but if not, the accessory tip – earrings, cuffs, rings and a contrasting bag – will work beautifully with any equally bright and bold number.

Trinny herself was in a somewhat pricer two-piece number from Australian designer Zimmerman – ‘and I’m even wearing a bra because without a bra it would be very nippy,’ she jokes in the clip – plus two coordinating leopard print bags. Which Susannah seemed to think was ‘a bit matchy-matchy’ but frankly, we love.

Tapping into the seemingly never-ending animal print trend is another great way to freshen up your take on wedding guest dressing – especially with an elegantly oversized silhouette, as Trinny demonstrates.

So, for your next special occasion, think braver and bolder – as this duo prove, it can look super chic, and doesn’t have to cost the earth, either!
