13 serving platters for an Instagram-perfect tablescape

Now that we can host friends and family inside our homes again, it’s no wonder that we’re all taking every opportunity to create the most photogenic tablescapes fit for the ‘gram – whether that’s using vintage tablecloths, artisan tableware or getting in on the latest trend of grazing boards, where you artfully arrange food in a piled-up but artistic way.

If you love a grazing board, the next trend you’ll want to get in on is breakfast boards – the same idea but using breakfast foods such as pastries, fruit and nuts to create a striking foodie image. #BreakfastBoards is taking over social media, with over 3.9 million views on TikTok and as such Waitrose has noticed an uptick in sales of breakfast pastries (up 26 per cent compared to last year) and brioche, crepes and waffles (up 14 per cent), while John Lewis has seen a 40 per cent increase in sales of serving platters in the last month.

Zoe Simons, Senior Innovation Chef at Waitrose comments: ‘We’ve seen an uplift in photogenic breakfast boards as customers look to create an extra special breakfast experience.  Whether it’s a nutritious spread boasting slices of fresh fruit, creamy yoghurts and homemade granola and nuts to scatter on top or a more indulgent feast of breakfast pastries, homemade fluffy pancakes and delicious berries, breakfast boards are perfect for a lazy weekend spent with loved ones.’

With that said, here are 13 serving platters to set off your next breakfast or grazing board (or just for piling up your roasties in).
