The Rites charity auction is your chance to make your Christmas shopping count this year and get designer goods for less whilst supporting an amazing cause.
This year has really shown us the meaning of community, comradery and the beauty of giving back. With Christmas fast approaching we are all looking into how we can make our shopping more sustainable but also how we can support those who need it.
Enter Rites, the online fashion for good platform that help you ‘look good and do good’ by selling fashion items with a percentage of the proceeds going to a variety of charities.
On Saturday December 12th at 10am Rites will be hosting an online virtual auction with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to charity. They have partnered with designers and coveted brands to raise money to support those working to fight inequality and racism. The money raised from the auction will go directly to the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust in helping young people from disadvantage backgrounds receive the education, training and support they need to reach their potential.
With over 150 luxury new items donated by over 50 leading designers such as Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Molly Goddard, Bella Freud, Stella McCartney, Proenza Schouler, Simone Rocha, Anissa Kermiche, Cecilie Bahnsen, Shrimps and many more, there are plenty of reasons to get yourself online and bidding.
If you can’t wait till then to see what you can get your hands on and fancy a sneaky exclusive preview of the products available, sign up to the Rites newsletter for a first-look at the full catalogue of items ahead of the launch.
Meg O’Hara, the Co-Founder of Rites, says: ‘We wanted to ensure charities continue to receive the support they need through lockdown and the fashion industry has really come
out in support of this cause. We’ve been completely overwhelmed by the generosity shown during a time that has been hard for a lot of people.’
