Pastel colours are always one of the major trends for the spring summer season, and this year they’re bigger and better than ever – much of which is thanks to all the beautifully chic high-street offerings. And after scrolling through social media, there’s one particular Primark buy that’s really caught our eye.
The retail giant has released a whole range of pastel suits in different colourways and frankly, we need them all in our wardrobes immediately.
The gorgeous suits are not only the perfect pick for the warmer weather, they’re affordable to say the least, priced at just £35 for both pieces.
Mint green seems to be the most popular shade online by far, but the suit is available in a rainbow of shades including purple, pink and white, and on the rails in Primark stores across the country (yes, everyone is still patiently waiting for the retailer to launch online shopping).
If you only want one half or like to mix and match, the blazer will set you back £20, while the trousers are being sold for the bargain price of £15.
And once you’ve snapped it up, there’s plenty of style inspiration, as Instagram stars and fashion bloggers have already been showing the colourful suits off, styling them in totally unique but equally fabulous ways.
However, if you love the look you may want to get yourself down to the nearest Primark because something tells us the suits won’t be around for much longer – they have spring sell-out item written all over them.
Alternatively, if you love pastels but aren’t quite ready to go head-to-toe, YOU’s fashion team have some great tips. ‘Nothing says spring is here like pastels. But sometimes the trend can look a little bit daunting,’ they say.
‘If you love the hues but just want to dip your toe for now, keep the trend to your accessories. Pastels look amazing with neutrals, so a pastel blue bag with a camel trench will not look out of place. The trend is so popular it extends to everything from shoes and jewellery to sunglasses and hats, so start off small and we’re sure you’ll fall in love.’
