We’re all working towards becoming more conscious consumers, from choosing sustainable products to putting our money towards buys that raise money for the NHS, or supporting black-owned fashion and beauty businesses, which are disproportionately more likely to have been seriously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
June brings about a new opportunity to treat yourself and donate to a great cause, as it’s Pride Month – an occasion originally marked to commemorate the June 1969 Stonewall riots, but which has since become a celebration of and message of solidarity to the LGBTQ+ community.
While there are plenty of rainbow products on the shelves for Pride Month right now, only a small percentage are actually putting their money where their mouths are and fundraising for associated charities. So here are the brands that are making a direct donation to various LGBTQ+ organisations – if you want to indulge in some newness and celebrate Pride 2020, we’d suggest starting here.
