Marks & Spencer has been knocking it out the park with its beautifully modern, wearable designs so far this year, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Case in point: its stunning new floral skirt, a new take on the bestselling dress in the same print which took Instagram by storm earlier this month.
If you’ve already forgotten this beauty, let us refresh your memory. Cast your minds back to a couple of weeks ago when the year was just beginning, and the Marks & Spencer Floral Waisted Midi Dress was making a splash. The style, which was a new colour pairing of the brand’s original dress (a favourite of Holly Willoughby’s), hit stores and quickly became the ultimate year-round piece.
As well as being perfect for colder weather when paired with chunky boots and knitwear, it can also be updated for the warmer months with strappy sandals.
So, following the success of this piece, it comes as no surprise that Marks & Spencer has released a skirt version of the beloved dress, and by the looks of things, it’s going to be just as popular.
In fact, it’s already been spotted on Instagram being styled in some super chic ways. Marks & Spencer insider Charlotte braved the cold in with bare legs, black heeled ankle boots and a casual grey marl jersey sweatshirt, finishing her look off with some chic sunglasses.

Chunky knit, printed slip skirt & my ankle boots ….. pretty easy outfit for anything really? And a way to get some spring print into my Monday look. Over on stories I’ve added heels & a blazer #charlotteuniform ( as if that will catch on) just because I always love that as a combo. If you’re worried about the chilly weather at present, you could also wear the M&S floral skirt with tights, along with a chunky cardigan to keep warm.
Equally, this is another design that will look just as good in spring and summer, paired with a simple vest and flat gladiator sandals. It’s therefore an excellent investment for the rest of 2020.
If you love the print but aren’t keen on the skirt or dress, M&S have also released a shirt which may be more to your liking.
Whichever one you prefer, we recommend snapping it up pronto!
