Missoma is one of those mid-spend, demi-fine jewellery brands that we can’t get enough of and is adored by everyone from fashion editors to celebrities and royals (Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are both well-known fans).
Following the recent success of its gender-neutral Fused collection, Missoma has today revealed the first collection in its ‘Summer of Self-Expression’ campaign and has chosen Pearls as its material of choice to take centre stage.
This is the first time ever that Missoma have used pearls in its designs but it isn’t the first jewellery collection of 2021 that we’ve seen feature the freshwater gems. Back in April, Astrid & Miyu also launched an entire collection featuring freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones. After a tumultuous past 12 months or so, perhaps it’s not so surprising that we’re all being drawn to gems given that they symbolise wisdom and knowledge.
Since the beauty of the pearl lies in its irregularities, however, Missoma has leaned into this by designing a collection that highlights its organic shape and form. Think mix and match earrings, individual pendants and Baroque bracelets.

Almost all designs come in both sterling silver and 18ct gold plated and prices range from £69 for a single earring to £495 for a gemstone charm necklace. Shop just a handful of some of our favourite pieces below…
