There’s not a person on Earth who could argue that Meghan Markle looked beyond beautiful on her wedding day to Prince Harry on 19 May – and, based on a straw poll of the office, there are very also few people who wouldn’t want to replicate her look.
Meghan’s bridal beauty look was created by make-up artist Daniel Martin, who is an ambassador for Dior – a fact which has led most royal watchers to believe that Meghan’s wedding make-up would have been supplied by the brand.
In particular, her glowing complexion has been attributed to Dior’s Backstage Face & Body Foundation (£29) – a new lightweight, fluid formula which has just launched in an inclusive range of 40 different shades.
On Meghan, the foundation gave a fresh, flawless finish, whilst still allowing her sprinkle of gorgeous natural freckles to shine though. However, Dior say that the product is buildable, so if you prefer full coverage, you can apply up to 3 layers of foundation in circular motions.
‘The Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation is tested and approved by 100% of Dior professional makeup artists,’ they add. ‘With its fluid texture and second skin finish, this ultra-buildable foundation offers custom-made intensity.’
If you want to take more tips from Meghan than just her base, YOU’s beauty director Edwina Ings-Chambers suggests investing in Dior Lip Glow (£26), Dior on Stage Liner in Matte Black (£26) and Diorshow Iconic Mascara (£27) – all products its thought that the Duchess of Sussex may have worn as she walked down the aisle at Windsor Castle.
Once you’ve got these in your collection, it’s just a matter of saving up for a stunning custom-made Clare Weight Keller for Givenchy gown.
Well, a girl can dream…
