Meghan Markle has only made three public appearances since giving birth to royal baby Archie Harrison back in May. But eagle-eyed fans have spotted that the Duchess of Sussex has sported one common item in two out of her three post-baby looks – turquoise jewellery.
According to reports, the colourful accessory is believed to be a healing stone. Megan first wore it when introducing Archie to the world with husband Prince Harry at his photo call at Windsor Castle, and then again over the weekend and as the couple attended a baseball game at the London Stadium. But how significant is her choice?
Well, Heather Askinoise, co-founder of Energy Muse and co-author of Crystal Muse: Everyday Rituals to Tune In to the Real You, told PEOPLE Magazine that the colour turquoise is known to be the ‘master healer’ and is believed to ‘bring blessings’ to those who wear it.
She added that she thinks Meghan is likely wearing the colour to help her body heal after having given birth. ‘It is a wonderful gemstone to connect with when you want to bring focus to your health,’ she said. ‘Turquoise is the perfect crystal for a new mothers as it is said to bring blessings to those who wear it.’
New mum Meghan wore a stunning Jennifer Meyer turquoise gemstone necklace with her white dress a pair of nude Manolo Blahnik BB pumps for her first post-baby appearance.
Then on Saturday, she opted once again for Jennifer Meyer with a delicate pair of short, turquoise bar studs which stood out against her little black dress by Stella McCartney as she watched the highly anticipated London series baseball final between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees with Prince Harry.
The earrings are still available for purchase on Net-A-Porter, though as you can expect they’re not exactly purse-friendly, with a price tag of £330. If that’s too much of a stretch, check out sister-in-law Kate’s £8 Accessorize earrings, which she loves so much she’s worn them on multiple occasions!
