Fluttery, separated, long and dark, attaining the perfect lashes is a pursuit of happiness – and if you haven’t found the mascara that helps you achieve yours just yet, Meghan Markle, the new Duchess of Sussex, may be able to help.
During a recent interview with HELLO! magazine, Meghan’s friend and former make-up artist Lydia Sellers revealed that Prince Harry’s wife had once recommended her a surprisingly inexpensive mascara, and it’s one that she’s kept in her collection ever since.
‘Meghan actually introduced me to a drugstore mascara, Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara,’ Lydia, who worked with Meghan on TV show Suits from 2015 to 2017, told the title. ‘I keep it stocked in my kit now at all times thanks to her!’
‘This mascara really helps to amplify your lashes and polish off the entire look. It’s great for full volume and lengthening, the formula is super hydrating. I love how it builds, and that the price point is accessible for all budgets.’
Maybelline describe the mascara as a ‘luxurious oil-infused formula from root-to-tip to reveal layers of softer, denser lashes’, with the patented fanning brush offering 10 layers of bristles for easy application.
Lydia added that Meghan, as we’ve seen at many public appearances since her role in the royal family became official, favours a classic make-up look that allows her natural beauty to come through.
‘Meghan favours a less-is-more approach to beauty; fresh, dewy skin to show off her natural tone and freckles; thick, lush lashes; a hint of colour on the lips,’ she explained.
On her wedding day, however, it’s been reported that Meghan moved away from her drugstore make-up roots and wore a high-end brand, with all signs reportedly pointing towards her bridal beauty look using Dior.
