M&S’s £19.50 sandals are the bargain your summer wardrobe needs

We’re calling it: it’s finally sandal season. With a surprisingly sunny bank holiday already in the bag, temperatures are only set to rise from here, and so we’re perfecting our pedicures and looking for more affordable options to add to our collection for 2019.

We’ve already lusted after the iconic Dune Loupe flats and raced to snap up Topshop’s sellout barely-there Strippy style, but now Marks & Spencer has entered the race with the cheapest chic pair of summer shoes we’ve seen in forever. In fact, they’re priced at just £19.50.

M&S shared a snap of the Ring Detail Animal Print Two Band Sandals on its Instagram account, where it quickly racked up thousands of likes and hundreds of comments from shoppers who couldn’t believe the bargain before their eyes.

‘We particular love the contrasting back strap, which not only looks great but provides a little bit of extra support too,’ the brand wrote in the caption.

And those who’ve already invested in a pair agree that the comfort levels are high: ‘These are fabulous sandals, I bought this print a couple of months ago and just wore them today, so lovely,’ said one commenter. ‘Brilliant comfortable sandals for such a great price.’

The sandals come in sizes 3-8, and if animal print isn’t quite your thing? You can also find them in bright orange, navy and white or a black and cream mix for the same purse-friendly price.

The eagle-eyed amongst us may recall that it’s not the first year that M&S have made the ring detail style – last year TV chef Lisa Faulkner revealed on Instagram that she’d picked up a navy set for summer, undoubtedly causing a surge in copycat sales.

Now the footwear is back in even more colourways, we’re sure they’ll be an even bigger hit for 2019. Now can we get snake and zebra ones too, please?
