This summer, Marks & Spencer was undeniably the home of the cult midi dress, releasing hit and after sell-out hit throughout the season.
Now, with temperatures dropping and our sights firmly set on A/W 18, they’re bringing us the skirts of dreams as well – starting with a number that eagle-eyed shoppers have been desperate to purchase since its social media preview in August. And now, it’s finally on the rails.
M&S’ A-line fuchsia midi skirt made its debut on Instagram last month, styled with a chunky burgundy and pink jumper and black ankle boots. Fans of the brand were quick to express their love for the entire look, but the skirt in particular seemed to be a standout hit.
‘Searching morning, noon and night for the skirt…’ one eager followed posted at the time, while another echoed: ”This skirt, when can I get my hands on it?’
‘The skirt is EVERYTHING ‘ a third agreed, and another said they found it reminiscent of their school uniform (in a good way!)
‘That skirt is great,’ they wrote It also happens to almost exactly resemble my old school uniform skirt. I’m hoping 1. It comes in a 24 and 2. It won’t be compulsory for me to wear it with a sky blue gingham shirt and v neck jumper!’
The much-coveted item is part of the M&S Collection range, and is priced at £39.50, in stores and online now.
While you’re there, you can also snap up the Colour Block Round Neck Jumper that’s pictured in the Insta shot – it’s on the M&S website for £32.50, in sizes small to extra large.
