The nation has been glued to their screens for the last eight weeks, and now Love Island 2018 has almost reached its conclusion.
On the way, we’ve learned many life lessons, including, but not limited to: pen salesmen make great life partners, lie detector tests are never a good idea, and it’s never been more crucial to stay ‘loyal’.
However, according to recent sales stats, we’ve also been taking some beauty inspiration from the villa’s residents this year, especially when it comes to our teeth.
After watching the contestants bear their pearly whites on screen, sales of at home teeth whitening from Rapid White have increased by over 10% since the new series started (we don’t want to point fingers, but we think it might have something to do with Jack).
The brand’s teeth whitening strips and daily whitening toothpaste have proved particularly popular amongst those hoping to emulate the bright and beautiful smiles of the 2018 contestants. Both products claiming to improve the appearance of teeth in just a matter of days – so there’s still time to get yours ahead of next Monday night’s finale.
And Rapid White aren’t the only company that have felt the Love Island effect – Pro Teeth Whitening Co, known for their activated charcoal whitening powder have seen sales soar by 30%.
James Finley, Sales Director at Pro Teeth Whitening Co, commented: ‘Reality TV programmes like Love Island are a great advertisement for us as all the cast have a great set of white teeth.’
‘Whether they’ve had professional cosmetic whitening treatments to achieve this is hard to tell. But home teeth whitening products are a simple and cost effective option for anyone to use and our products work really well and safe on enamel.’
‘Certain brands will always benefit by the power of celebrity and teeth whitening products are one of these. But it’s also a seasonal trend, as summer is a time when most people are pre-holiday prepping and teeth whitening has become another part of that beauty regime.’
