Kerry recently revealed her ‘top beauty secrets’ in a video for US Vogue‘s Youtube channel, in which the Little Fires Everywhere actress divulged her go-to skincare and beauty hero products, more than one of which turned out to be low-budget high street buys.

‘I’ve always had to think a lot about my skin because I have eczema, so I started going to a dermatologist when I was a kid and really paying attention to what works and what doesn’t and how the weather changes my skin,’ Kerry revealed in the video. ‘For me, it’s not just about looking cute, it’s also really about being able to have skin that’s healthy and not too itchy and cracked and all that stuff that happens with eczema.’

A big part of tackling those skin issues is using a high performing moisturiser, and Kerry’s moisturiser of choice is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Moisturiser, which is currently on offer for just £8.66 at Boots (down from its usual £12.99 price tag).

‘I am addicted to hyaluronic acid. Moisture for me is the key to it all, drinking enough water, making sure that I’m putting moisture inside and outside.’

The refreshingly lightweight, intensely absorbing and super hydrating formula of Kerry Washington’s £8 skincare buy contains a unique Hyaluronic Gel Matrix to ‘instantly lock in hydration and continuously release it as and when your skin needs it throughout the day’.

With over 1,700 5 star reviews on boots.com alone, you can rest assured that this is £8 worth spending, whatever your skin type. ‘I suffer with oily spot prone skin. I used the ordinary moisturiser but I just broke out however this just glides on and in a month I reckon I’ve had 2 spots which for me is unheard of,’ said one repeat Hydro Boost purchaser.

Another reviewer of Kerry Washington’s £8 skincare hero said: ‘I have acne prone combination skin and I find this product amazing. The gel feels so hydrating on the skin and it sinks in incredibly fast leaving the skin feeling moisturised and smooth.’
