Kate Winslet swears by this £25 toner to soothe dry skin

While there are plenty of reasons to love the autumn/winter season – the fashion, the crisp climate and the endless festivities, to name a few – dry skin isn’t one of them.

As the temperature drops, our sun tans are quickly replaced with dull, dehydrated skin that constantly needs some TLC. Luckily, one Hollywood actress has just the solution to help solve all of your dry skin worries this winter.

In an interview with Vogue, Kate Winslet revealed her beauty routine and explained that one particular beauty product was her secret to banishing dry skin – Lancôme’s Toner Comfort.

Lancome

Tonique Comfort, £25, Lancôme

The comforting facial toner retails at just £25 for a 200ml bottle and according to Winslet, it’s a gem. ‘I get quite dry skin so occasionally I use an old favourite of mine, Lancôme Toner Comfort, and then I slather up with Advanced Genefique Sensitive,’ she told the publication.

The latter is a £59.00 face serum enriched with extracts of Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid. ‘This is my two-for-the-price-of-one product!’ she continued. ‘It combines two serum concentrates with a vitamin E boost, all in one bottle. Shake, slather, done. It’s really hydrating and fresh and fast to use.’

Advanced Génifique Sensitive Dual Concentrate, £59, Lancome

As an Oscar-winning actress, Kate’s schedule is just as busy as you can imagine. However, no more how stretched for time is, the 42-year-old Titanic star told Vogue the crucial step in her beauty routine she never misses.

‘I always take my make-up off no matter how tired I am,’ she said. ‘Daily I use Tracie Martyn Amla Purifying Cleanser, £55. It’s very fresh, gently scented and really deep cleans the face and neck. And it’s fast, no fuss. And I like using a good flat facial sponge to make sure it’s truly clean.’

Nevertheless, Kate stressed that although her go-to products help her skin look and feel healthy, her biggest remedy of all is good old fashioned beauty sleep. ‘I have to say right away that sleep and health play a big part in looking fresh,’ she admitted. ‘If I’m over-tired or stressed, no amount of make-up and hair can disguise the impact of that on one’s face. So if I know I have to look red-carpet-ready for something, I do try and look after myself in the few days running up to that moment.’

So there you have it, Kate Winslet’s step by step guide to combating dry skin to help maintain your natural glow in the dark winter months. Enjoy!
