Kate Middleton is one of the most prevalent style icons of our time, and although we often see her dressed up for occasions and outings, it’s her casual day time wear that is most covetable and easy to wear.
The Duchess is known for her love of comfy, practical hiking style boots, which she is often spotted in during official engagements that require less of a put together look. And during her appearances at the completed Chelsea Flower Show garden that she helped to design, Kate opted for a pair of shoes by boot maker brand Le Chameau.
The brilliant news is that you can easily get your hands on a pair of Le Chameau’s just like Kate. The brand currently sells three styles of the boots, in ankle height, mid height, and high. They range in price depending on style, starting at £249 for the ankle version, and £349 for the high pair.
The boots come in a flattering ‘bronze’ hue, which is more of a brown with green detailing, and are totally breathable and waterproof, making them ideal for hiking and more practical wear, as well as being a fashion statement. Along with hiking gear, they would look excellent with simple jeans and a button up shirt as Kate wears them, as well as with bare legs and longer socks.
This is not the first time the Duchess of Cambridge has opted for a pair of practical boots for a royal engagement. She is also a big fan of her Chloe boots, which she often pairs with dark jeans and khaki tones.
Hiking boots have been huge these past few seasons, with designers such as Louis Vuitton, Tod’s, and Gucci showcasing their take on the trend on the catwalk, and subsequently releasing their versions to sell to the public.
