It’s not often we lust after a 5 year old’s wardrobe, but when it comes to Princess Charlotte’s, there’s a lot to envy.
Recently, we were treated to a peek inside the whole Cambridge family wardrobe when the family of five met up with Sir David Attenborough to watch an outdoor screening of his upcoming feature film, David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet.
It turns out Charlotte, Louis and George are all big fans of David Attenborough and were thrilled to meet with their idol. But what to wear to meet a national treasure? While the whole family were dressed in corresponding blue and grey tones, Charlotte was dressed in one of her mum’s favourite high street brand’s – Zara.
Kate is frequently spotted wearing affordable outfits from Zara, her most popular being the printed midi dress (of which there have been quite a few!), and now it seems she is passing her savvy style onto her only daughter, too. Charlotte’s dress was an adorable ditsy floral print tiered dress with a white cotton Peter Pan collar, long sleeves and a button front – and cost just £23. We’re not going to lie, we wish they would make this is adult sizes, too!
Unfortunately Charlotte’s dress has already sold out, as does so often happen with anything the Cambridges step out in. However, if you know a little one who would love to copy Charlotte’s style, her blue Trotters canvas plimsolls are still available to buy online for £28. Meanwhile, we’ve found a dress (below) that is something of a hybrid between her Attenborough dress and the one Charlotte wore on her fifth birthday, also on Zara and available in all sizes from 6-14 years.
Kate herself wore a blue cotton denim midi dress and navy court heels, and George and Louis were also dressed in fairly affordable get ups in matching £40 Trotters check shirts.
