We’ve always known Kate Middleton is multi-talented, but recently we got a very rare peek at the Duchess’s piano playing skills, as she took to the stage to perform at her Christmas carol concert, Together At Christmas.
At the event, which took place at Westminster Abbey on 8 December 2021 and was broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve, attendees and viewers were treated to an extra special musical performance from the Duchess of Cambridge, as she took to the ivories to accompany Tom Walker’s performance of ‘For Those Who Can’t Be Here’.
Fans of Kate Middleton were naturally in awe of her performance, with touching comments being left under the video posted to the Cambridge’s YouTube account: ‘She’s a talented human being in so many ways, yet so humble, i appreciate her more and more’ and ‘Thank you, this meant so much after losing my Dad & many loved ones.’
Meanwhile, a 30 second clip of the performance was also posted to Instagram, where one fan commented: ‘That was so beautiful Catherine ❤️ a perfect performance by you both!’ while another wrote: ‘So talented. Is there anything she can’t do?’
In fact, Kate’s Instagram fans were so besotted with the clip that it has racked up over 11 million likes – truly impressive. In fact, it is now the most viewed royal video to date on the social media platform, which makes the Duchess of Cambridge a record breaker. Congrats, Kate!
The Together At Christmas carol concert was organised and hosted by Kate to ‘look back on the last eighteen months, to think not only of the unprecedented challenges that we have all faced as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to remember the positives: people and organisations pulling together in their communities, the small acts of kindness across different demographics and generations, and the unsung heroes who stepped up to help others.’
