Wearing all-over white in summer is like florals in spring – it’s hardly groundbreaking. And yet, it can be daunting to approach and you may feel like you can’t pull it off. However, inspired by Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s recent looks in white, we say you totally can rock white – and in more ways than one.
On 22 June, the Duchess of Cambridge attended the unveiling of the National Windrush Monument at Waterloo Station, alongside husband Prince William and Baroness Floella Benjamin. Kate rocked an all-white suit, complete with white top, court heels and a white handbag.

The Duchess of Cambridge has stepped out in two other head-to-toe white outfits recently, giving us the perfect masterclass in how to wear white. One was a tailored coat dress, which she paired with a large white headband, white gloves and a black clutch.

The other outfit was more of an off-white look, and it comprised of a matching tailored jacket and midi skirt, which she teamed with coordinating shoes and a clutch, as well as her much-loved Monica Vinader pearl necklace and earrings.

Meghan Markle made an appearance alongside husband Prince Harry at this year’s Invictus Games wearing a chic white belted jacket. She teamed it with blue jeans, showing us all exactly how to do smart-casual.

Inspired by the two fashionable women, YOU’s fashion stylist Joanne Toolan has put together four key looks that demonstrate the most on-trend, yet easiest, ways to wear white this summer: the white suit, the white dress, the white shirt and white jeans.
