Ganni has to be one of the most coveted designers of the past few years, and for good reason. The designs are super chic, the pieces are all over Instagram and they manage to nail every trend that’s thrown at them. But their designs don’t tend to come cheap, which comes as no surprise given that they’re at the designer end of the fashion spectrum.
Luckily, the high street is always willing to oblige with some slightly more affordable (but just as stylish) dupes, and this latest one is perhaps the most impressive we’ve ever seen. This summer, Ganni became known for its super cute checked dresses, from monochrome designs to bright pastels.
One of their coolest styles (and one spotted everywhere on social media) was the checked cotton-blend seersucker midi dress, which originally retailed for £205. It is now being sold for £143 in the sale, which, while slightly more bargain-friendly, still isn’t that thrifty.
Enter: H&M, who have delivered one of the most successful dupes of the year with their modal-blend dress for a mere £10 (in the sale, from its original RRP of £24.99). The khaki delight is not only a great buy for the warmer weather, it’s also super versatile and can be worn with knee-high boots or trainers, and chunky knits for now. To add a touch of spice to the design, it also has an open elasticised back.
The product description for the H&M Ganni dupe dress online reads: ‘Calf-length dress in a Tencel™ and modal weave with a round, gathered neckline and an opening with a concealed button at the back of the neck. Long, wide raglan sleeves with narrow elastication at the cuffs. Seam at the waist, a cut-out section with covered elastication at the back, and a gently flared skirt. Unlined.’
The H&M Ganni dupe dress is still available in all sizes online (from XS through to XXL), but given that it’s so similar to the Ganni original, it’s worth snapping up now before it gets majorly ‘discovered.’ Instagram influencers are already going wild for it, so we’re sure it’ll sell out soon!
