Remember last summer when everyone on Instagram was wearing that Ganni seersucker check print flared maxi dress? Well, if it wasn’t quite within your budget, it was £215 after all, then you might be pleased to hear that we’ve spotted a suspiciously similar H&M check dress that is just £19.99.
That’s right, for a fraction of the price, you can nail the same effortless check print style with this H&M check dress dupe.
While the Ganni seersucker check print dress comes in two different colourways – a green, black and white check (see above) and a blue, red and yellow grid pattern (see below) – the H&M check dress comes in a light turquoise check and a black and pink floral design.
Besides the small differences in colour, it’s not hard to draw similarities between the two sleeveless, calf-length dresses with oh so similar smocked bodices. Both the Ganni and H&M check dress also sport a square neckline with a small frill and feature gathered shoulder straps. The only major difference? The price tag.
Reviews of the H&M check dress on the brand’s website see it rated 4.3 out of 5 stars which customers marking it as true to size and the length as ‘spot on’. While it’s currently out of stock in a small, it’s still in stock in medium to extra-large so move fast if you’re interested.
Alternatively, opt for the same smocked-bodice style of dress but in the floral design which is still in stock in sizes small to extra-large.
It’s not the first time H&M has replicated a Ganni dress either. Back in January, the high street brand released another check dress that was remarkably similar to a Ganni iteration but cost just £10 in the sale. What dress will be the next is the big question?
