Any time a Glossier product launches, it sends waves of excitement around the beauty world. Fans of the brand stop what they’re doing, drop anything they’re holding, and run straight to the nearest computer or phone to add the new addition to their shopping cart. And this time around, as the brand launches a first-of-its-kind oil-serum hybrid product, the hype is entirely justified.
Glossier Futuredew is unlike any product we’ve encountered on the shelves, in that it combines the textures of an oil and a serum to create a luxuriously rich formula that leaves skin feeling nourished and healthy.
The idea of the product is to apply it last in your skincare routine in the morning time; there’s no need for moisturiser or priming before make-up with this (you can apply a light moisturiser beforehand if you like, but normal-oily skin types may prefer not to). As its name suggests, its main claim to fame is its ability to boost skin’s radiance like nothing we’ve seen before.
The product boosts the skin’s glow, illuminating like a highlighter yet acting as a skincare product with all the usual benefits.
Included in its ingredients list is a whole host of plant-derived extracts that the brand says are responsible for the super dewy finish it offers. These ingredients include jojoba, grape seed, evening primrose, and rosehip oils. It also contains evodia rutaecarpa extract (a fruit extract known to visibly enhance brightness), sugarcane squalane (to lock in moisture), and light-reflecting minerals.
Impressively, in a clinical trial conducted by Glossier, 100 per cent of daily users of Futuredew saw an immediate increase in radiance, while 93 per cent still noticed that increase after 12 hours.
Like with most Glossier make-up and skincare products, Futuredew comes with an accessible price tag. At £23, it’s not super bargain-friendly, but it’s totally affordable and if you ask us, absolutely worth it for the results.
