The nation was rocked when the sad news broke of Caroline Flack’s death in February 2020. But now that most Covid restrictions have been dropped, the former YOU cover star and Love Island presenter is being celebrated with an intimate one-day festival this summer.
The event, named Flackstock, will take place on Monday 25 July at Englefield House in Berkshire. Through comedy, dance and musical acts, the festival will celebrate the life of Caroline Flack and sales from the tickets will help raise funds for mental health charities Choose Love, Mind, Samaritans and Charlie Waller Trust – all causes that held a special place in Caroline’s heart.
The first acts to be announced for Flackstock include Natalie Imbruglia, Louise Redknapp and Fleur East. There will also be celebrity appearances on the day from Professor Green, Dermot O’Leary, Kirsty Gallacher, Paddy McGuinness, Joel Dommett, Noel Fielding, June Sarpong and former Strictly Come Dancing professionals Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec.
The celebration has been organised by those close to Caroline, including her mother Christine and sister Jody, and friends Natalie Pinkham, Dawn O’Porter, Anna Blue, Sarah Tyekiff, and Leigh and Jill Francis.
Caroline’s mum Christine said: ‘My Caroline was never more herself or happier than at a music festival with her sister and her friends. Flackstock is the wonderful idea of those who knew her best and the perfect way to remember her singing, dancing and most of all laughing. Not only is Flackstock the most positive way to honour Carrie, but charities that she loved will benefit from the proceeds.’
Pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday 27 April at 10am, and the general ticket sale starts Friday 27 April at 10 am. More acts are expected to be announced in due course.
