Move over Mulberry and make some space, Cult Gaia – there’s another amazing cult bag on the scene right now. The Bottega Veneta pouch has taken over Instagram feeds everywhere with its relaxed, pillowy shape, and it’s fair to say the style set are obsessed.
However, with a price tag of £1,900, the dream of owning an original is a distant one for most of us, which is why we were so excited to see Dune’s new S/S 20 drop, which features a gorgeous bag that will enable us to emulate the look for less.
Spotted initially at the brand’s new season showcase was a similarly pouch-shaped clutch in a choice of three gorgeous colours: a deep forest green, classic black and light tan, cheerily named the Enlighten bag. As well as their voluminous shape, structured clasp and buttery leather, the bags are also hiding an optional thin gold chain handle, making them as practical as they are stylish.
If you prefer your accessories with a little more texture, you might also fall a little bit in love with the woven Emore option, which is the same style with a more statement finish, and comes in a summer-ready ecru tone.
At £120, the clutches aren’t as cheap as some of our other favourite bags on the high street this month, but as investment buys, they’re not unreasonable – especially when you consider the different in cost from the designer version.
And when we saw how they were being styled at LFW, we knew we had to have one.
If you feel the same, there’s excellent news; they’re available to shop now (in fact, Dune tells us they’re the bestselling bag of the week already!) so all you need to do is decide is which shade will go best with your spring capsule wardrobe.
Would it be so wrong to pick two?
