The Duchess of Cambridge’s high street jeans are now available in a spring-ready colour

The Duchess of Cambridge may spend much of her time in sharply-tailored coats and glittering gowns, but she’s just as partial to a casual day in jeans as the rest of us.

While you might expect the royal jeans of choice to be from some impossibly-expensive designer brand, in fact the Duchess turns to high street retailer & Other Stories for her denim.

The Favourite Cut jeans are now available in seven different colours from ecru to black, they are high-waisted with a slim, cropped leg, and made from organic cotton.

Basically this is a really good jeans shape if you’re learning to ditch the skinnies but still like some definition and can’t face anything too baggy. And the Duchess of Cambridge gave us a masterclass in how to style them at a visit to the Urban Nature Project at the Natural History Museum, where she teamed the & Other Stories jeans with a pink Chloe blazer, white T-shirt and trainers.

& Other Stories has recently released a white colourway of the jeans, just in time for a (hopefully) sunny spring. We wonder if Kate will be adding them to her collection…

Kate has opted for these flattering jeans on a number of occasions, including when she received her first dose of the Covid vaccine. At the time, she paired the jeans with a £24 H&M ribbed white top. What a bargain royal outfit!

These jeans are not the only thing that Kate has worn from the Scandinavian brand – she’s previously worn a pair of £17 earrings from & Other Stories at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, when it hosted an exhibition on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
