Whether you’re shopping for a wedding guest dress, a christening or a day at the races, finding an outfit for a formal occasion isn’t always easy. But the revival of a brand you might remember from the 90s has just made it a whole lot easier for the remainder of 2019.
Coast, a brand which launched in 1996 and became a fixture on the high street for decades before its collapse late last year, has been reimagined for the contemporary customer and Instagram can’t get enough of its bold and beautiful designs.
The rebirth of Coast comes complete with a brand new look, which was unveiled on 16 July with a new collection available to shop on its own website, as well as in department stores such as House of Fraser, John Lewis & Partners and Debenhams.
Jane Eskriett, Coast’s brand director, told MailOnline of the overhaul: ‘We knew we needed to go back to the drawing board with Coast, reinventing the brand with a fresh philosophy that speaks to the modern woman.’
‘We’re really passionate about the new direction and we’re excited to be creating collections we love,’ she continued. ‘We design our garments to be versatile, and they can be styled up or down and worn over and over again.’
According to Jane, there’s now a much wider range of styles, which are ‘more fashion-forward and versatile’ – to reflect the ways that modern women dress. And they’ve certainly proved a hit online, with countless outfits being tagged by influencers across the country.
‘This dress is stunning,’ one of blogger @sunbeamsjess’s 176k followers commented on a post of her wearing the store’s £89 Keri Knot Dress, while Eva Papageorgiou of @modelapproved gained countless compliments in the Mono Stripe Maxi Dress.
‘Beautiful dress,’ declared one commenter, while another wrote: ‘Waaaait this dress so SO CUTE!!!’
If you want to Coast’s makeover for yourself, there’s excellent news: its currently running a 25 per cent off everything promotion that will make your next showstopping piece even more affordable.
