Throughout the height of the pandemic and lockdowns, many of us were dreaming of jetting off to a far away land full of sunshine, sea and hot temperatures. But now that we can travel again without too many restrictions, our bank accounts apparently haven’t got the memo that we’ve got two years worth of holidaying to catch up on – rude.
With the cost of living in a crisis, it’s become that much harder to budget for an epic holiday. But the good news is, The Post Office has conducted new research for its annual report to reveal the cheapest holiday destinations for 2022.
The data for cheap holidays was based on eight tourist requirements: the cost of a three-course evening meal for two with wine, a cup of coffee, a bottle of beer, a Coca-Cola, a glass of wine, a large bottle of water, sun cream and insect repellent. The average prices were collected from tourist boards and tour operators, and compared from 36 worldwide destinations to find the most affordable options.
So without further ado, these are the best cheap holidays about right now…
