The fact that great quality products needn’t cost the earth is a mantra that’s already been proven by brands like The Ordinary and The Inkey List. But now Boots is expanding the options for beauty aficionados on a budget by introducing a new own brand skincare range called Boots Ingredients.
The formulas are presented in sleek yet simplistic packaging, complete with and their no-frills philosophy is further emphasised by the price: there’s nothing with an RRP of more than £7, and there’s even a 20 per cent off introductory offer running right now, which means you can try your first one for even less.
Despite dropping quietly on the store’s website earlier this month, the Boots Ingredients skincare edit has already started collecting positive reviews from customers who say they’re seeing improvements in their complexions in just a couple of applications.
‘I’ve been using this serum for 3 days but already seeing the benefits!’ said one early adopter of the bakuchiol bottle, who dubbed it a ‘miracle’. ‘I’ve used retinol products before but found them too harsh for my skin. Bakuchiol is an amazing alternative that’s left my skin soft, smooth and glowing.
‘Amazing price and nice minimal design, I hope this stays on the market because I can see this being my go to product for years.’
The caffeine-infused eye cream has also won a five-star fan, who wrote: ‘I’ve been on the hunt for a cruelty free eye cream that packed a punch and this is it! Eyes looked brighter and hydrated after only a few uses. Definitely worth purchasing- looks good under make up too! Well done Boots!’
