If it’s your birthday on 25 May, you share the occasion with plenty of famous faces; Octavia Spencer, Ian McKellen, and Cillian Murphy, to name just a few. But that’s not all – it’s also the day that high street jeweller Beaverbrooks first opened its doors in 1919, and to mark its 100th anniversary, it’s doing something very special to celebrate.
Anyone born on 25 May can visit a Beaverbrooks shop this Saturday and claim their £100 gift card to spend on diamonds, watches and jewellery instore. No, really!
Anna Blackburn, managing director at Beaverbrooks, explained: ‘Saturday 25th May is a huge milestone for Beaverbrooks as it reaches its 100-year anniversary – so what better way to share the birthday celebrations by giving away £100 worth of jewellery to people celebrating their birthday on the same day?
‘We’re proud to be a much-loved high street jeweller, celebrating magical moments and bringing families together for 100 years. We hope that anyone lucky enough to be celebrating their birthday with us on Saturday will be able to choose something beautiful to keep forever.’
Whether you love classic diamonds, favour coloured stones like rubies or emeralds or want to grow your stash of gold or silver, it’s an offer that’s too good to miss – and it couldn’t be simpler to take advantage of.

We’re officially 100 years old on Saturday! To celebrate Beaverbrooks’ history we’re dedicating today's #ThrowbackThursday to the three Adlestone brothers – where our story began. They moved to Belfast in 1919 to pursue their passion for fine jewellery, selling silverware from a suitcase. Just one year later, the brothers swapped a suitcase for a store…and the rest is history! Here’s to the next 100 years and beyond! #Beaverbrooks100
If you’re lucky enough to be born on 25 May all you need to do is visit a Beaverbrooks store and show valid ID, like a passport or driving licence, to the team this Saturday. However you should note that there are a limited number of gift cards available and they’ll be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis – so move quickly!
