When fashion designer Erdem – whose fans include the Duchess of Cambridge and Keira Knightley – collaborated with H&M to launch a capsule high-street collection last November, people queued outside stores all night and items sold out within hours.
Here’s an advance warning for Thursday 12th April, when the designer’s first make-up range Erdem for Nars comes to life under the name Strange Flowers.
Unveiled backstage at Erdem’s London Fashion Week AW18 show, the 13-piece collection was used by make-up artist Val Garland to create Erdem’s vision of a beautiful, aristocratic girl wandering around her garden, with hints of the roaring 20s about her.

The slightly opalescent Multi-Use Highlighting Pencil in White Phox (£21) adds a healthy glow to the complexion, while the satin black Matira and matt brown Fauna from the Night Garden Eyeshadow Palette (£35) lend lids depth and definition.
As to the collection’s sellout superstar, I would place my bets on the unusual but ravishing Poison Rose Lip Powder Palette (£35, all available from selfridges.com and narscosmetics.com).
Prep lips with the balm, then use the brush to apply one of four shades. Pick from shimmering rose gold Zira through to Ottoman, a scarlet with a suede-like finish. Pretty but bold and in packaging illustrated with the designer’s signature florals, it is a typical Erdem take on eerie, beautiful romanticism. Get ready to snap it up.
Go rogue

With more than 30,000 followers and an Instagram feed that scrolls like a celebrity who’s who – think Karlie Kloss, Poppy Delevingne and Pixie Lott – stylist Larry King knows good hair.
Inspired by Cindy Crawford and her fellow 90s supers, Larry’s top team of colourists has created the new Rogue Blonde service (£150, larryking.co.uk). It scatters ultra-blonde streaks around the hairline to frame the face, throwing light on skin to give a pretty glow.
This week we’re…
…replacing the warming, spicy, leathery, amber and tobacco notes in our winter scents with something altogether more frivolous and summery. A new limited-edition perfume from cognac-heir-turned-fragrance-maestro Kilian Hennessy, Love The Way You Taste (£185, bykilian.co.uk) blends lemon and peppermint with green leaves and a hint of magnolia. The result is surprisingly like a mojito – so you can simply sit back and think of summer cocktails.
