Everyone on Instagram is wearing these quirky sandals

Remember those chunky summer sandals your dad would always bring out on holiday? Well, they’re in fashion. Only this time, it’s your favourite influencers and fashion editors that are wearing them as opposed to your old man.

That’s right, the same ugly shoes we’ve all been (gently) mocking dads for wearing have become one of the biggest summer footwear trends this season with huge fashion houses from Prada to Chloé creating their own versions of the trend.

However, one brand in particular has been selling a modern twist on the must-have sandals of the moment, at a surprisingly affordable price. Introducing: Arizona Love, the retailer with the hot sandal designs that everyone is going mad for at the moment.

The brand was established last year by French designer, Leslie Halfon, and has since become widely popular among fashion enthusiasts due to its signature sandals.

The design is inspired by Halfron’s time spent in Arizona and combines the original ‘dad’ style with a chic modern twist. It even features vintage bandana fabrics. Talk about a cool revamp!

The sandals come in a variety of bold, clashing colours including green and purple, and red and blue, and yellow and blue. Oh, and if you want to tick off two trends in one you can also get them in leopard print or better yet, shell detailing, a riff on one of the hottest trend accessory trends of the year.

The Arizona Love look is so in demand that it is already being stocked on matchesfashion.com, with the popular shoe being priced at a very reasonable £100 – a much smaller price tag than the designer versions.

So far, plenty of women in the inner fashion circle have been spotted wearing the new ‘It’ shoe on Instagram, each styling them in their own unique ways – from pairing them with jeans for a casual look to matching them with cute summer dresses and skirts. Do you plan on joining them?
