Hold the phone and stop the press, all our homeware dreams have been answered by the interiors geniuses at Aldi. The budget supermarket is selling a pink velvet scalloped cocktail chair and it’s identical in almost every way to one being sold by Oliver Bonas – minus the £395 price tag.
Yep, Aldi is selling its version for just £79.99 and it looks just as sumptuous and luxurious as its OB counterpart. Part of the supermarket’s infamous Special Buys range (where the saying ‘once it’s gone it’s gone’ really comes into its own), the chair will only be available online.
With a wooden frame and soft velvet upholstering, the chair comes in both pink and soft grey. A statement, or accent, chair is an ideal way to inject some glamour and style to a room and will instantly update any existing decor. The pink version will command attention, a real scene-stealer of a piece, while the soft grey will subtly integrate with the rest of a room, offering a touch of elegance without clashing with any pre-existing colour schemes.
‘Adding an accent piece to your home is an easy way to bring an instant touch of glamour,’ reads the online description. ‘This Kirkton House Pink Velvet Scallop Chair is the perfect addition to any room in the home. With its wooden legs the style will fit in with any decor whilst the velvet look and feel of the upholstered seat will encourage you to take the time for some much needed relaxation.’
The scalloped cocktail chair has been having a moment for some time now, with many high-end homeware designers and brands, from Oliver Bonas to Wayfair and Le Maison Chic, churning out their own versions, making Aldi’s version a real steal in terms of price.
Even Dunelm’s own version at £149 can’t match Aldi’s jaw-dropping price, and as we know, soft pink is still trending for interiors, meaning this chair ticks a lot of boxes for anyone looking to quickly upgrade their home on a budget. We’ve already placed our orders…
Launching on 12th March, both the pink and grey versions are selling out fast, but you miss out on this fantastic buy, don’t worry as Aldi’s new Home Refresh range has dropped in stores and online from today, and it’s full of luxurious looking homeware at their classic budget prices.
