Aldi has launched a £15 hot brush similar to ghd’s sellout hair styler

Many of us gave our hair a much-needed break from harsh chemicals, colour and heat during lockdown but now that hairdressers are open again and socialising is back on the cards, we’re ready to show off our fresh hairdos. With that in mind, Aldi has come to the rescue with an affordable version of the sellout ghd hot brush.

We love Aldi for its clever bargain beauty dupes, and the latest addition to the hairstyling range doesn’t disappoint. Aldi’s Visage Hot Brush costs just £14.99, which is a massive £154 less than ghd’s volumising brush.

The easy-to-use brush helps you create straight, wavy and volumised hairstyles. It has five temperature levels, making it easier to tailor the heat to your own hair texture. What’s more, the brush heats up in a speedy 2 minutes and has a 360-degree swivel cable so you won’t get tangled up in wires while getting ready.

Always worried you’ve left your hair stylers on? The Aldi hot brush helpfully shuts off automatically after 30 minutes. Phew!

Although the Aldi hot brush only has two reviews online at the moment, they’re both pretty positive. One reviewer said: ‘A rare wide barrel diameter of 1″ plus. Good value and easy temperature control. Great it has an auto shut off feature. Only drawback is I find I can sometimes depress the control buttons by accident when using and turn it off by accident.’

The other said: ‘Absolutely love it. I’ve been waiting for one of these all my life – and I’m 75! It’s super easy to use, curls, straightens, smooths, no more rollers or untidy bed head. There’s one on the market for well over £100 but I can’t think what else it could do better than this one. Thank you.’

If the Aldi hot brush takes your fancy, it can be bought in-store or online. Plus, it also comes in a dark grey colour.
