8 essentials every fashion team needs for LFW

The countdown is over and London Fashion Week has finally arrived. As one of the biggest events in the fashion calendar, we’ve spent months preparing to make sure we’re ready for the hectic schedule that lies ahead.

Darting around London between shows each day, it’s vital to only take the essentials. So here, the YOU fashion team have spilled their secrets and compiled their Fashion Week musts.

The bag

Double Strap Basket Bag, £35.99, Mango

A small bag is an absolute no-go with the amount we need to carry each day, so a bag that’s big enough to fit all of our bits, suits every outfit and looks way more expensive than it is ticks all of our boxes.

The bottle

Reusable Bottle, £28, Chilly’s

Running around London all week means we need to stay as hydrated as possible, while trying to reduce our plastic use. This Chilly’s water bottle keeps our water cold all day and we can match it to our outfits with the different range of colours it’s sold in.

The charger

Anker E1 6700mAh Portable Charger, £16.99, Amazon

A portable charger is a definite on our list. We’re constantly on our phones snapping pictures at shows or using maps to get from one show to the next. A dying phone is not what you need by mid-morning!

The dress

Balloon Sleeve Dress, £29.99, H&M

With all eyes on outfits, we want to make sure we are looking chic. This H&M number is perfect, as it’s so versatile – a pair of trainers to run between the shows, then switching into some heeled boots for the after party to dress it up.

The plasters

Foot Care Blister Plasters, £1 for 5, Morrisons

Wearing those pretty new shoes you haven’t quite had time to break in yet is always a risk, so we like to keep blister plasters with us as a back-up. These Morrisons plasters come in a handy little pouch so you won’t have to scramble around the bottom of your bag trying to find them.

The snacks

Propercorn Sweet Coconut & Vanilla, 80p, Ocado

We don’t have much time between shows, so snacks are always in the car ready for us to grab and go. Propercorn have great flavours so these are always in the car. We’re also loving Wasabi’s chocolate coated sticks – especially the cookie and cream flavour!

The lipstick

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Nude Love Collection, £18, Cult Beauty

Lipstick is the quick and easy way to stay looking fresh-faced between shows, and it helps detract away from those dark circles forming under your eyes. Our current favourite is this Huda Beauty liquid lipstick in in Wifey – a great everyday pink that will go with any outfit.

The car

Volvo XC60 T8, starting from £37,785, Volvo

You can’t get around the whole of London on foot in one day – we have the Volvo XC60 which is big enough to fit our team, has chic leather seats and looks great from the outside, too. It also has a plug-in hybrid twin engine, helping us remain as eco-friendly as we possibly can.
