20 of the best affordable autumn coats to snap up before they sell out

We can’t quite believe it, but that time of year has rolled around again and we’re looking to our autumn/ winter wardrobes.

Specifically, we’ve noticed high street stores stocking up on wearable, classic coats – then quickly selling out as the styles prove incredibly popular. So, it seems as though if we want to step up our outerwear game this year, the time to ‘add to basket’ is now.

These are the biggest coat trends for autumn/ winter 2020-2021, and the five best pieces to shop of each. Better hurry before they sell out (or keep an eye out for a re-stock)!

5 best leather coats

One of the biggest outerwear trends this season is leather coats – like a more grown-up version of the leather jacket, but still with a clean, masculine-chic edge.
