We’re used to taking regular (IRL and online) trips to ZARA for designer-inspired fashion buys, chic homeware and even make-up, but lately the retail giant has been expanding its repertoire to slightly more rogue horizons.
Case in point, ZARA Home’s latest collection, which might just be its most surprising yet, but has gone under the radar, until now. ZARA tools – no, your eyes are not mistaking you – are the latest ‘homeware’ buy you can pick up from the high street store, meaning you can add a ZARA screwdriver, wrench or hammer to your online basket alongside your new-season dresses and shoes. We did say it was surprising..
The high street store is certainly not the first place we’d think to head to for our DIY tools, but considering the nation’s newfound interest in all things DIY (thanks to several national lockdowns), it seems ZARA thinks it’s worth the punt to compete with the likes of B&Q.
Of course, in natural ZARA style, these aren’t just any tools. Made from pale beechwood and painted white metal, ZARA’s selection of tools ensure you look as chic as ever, whether you’re hanging a picture frame or erecting some shelving (dependent on previous DIY experience).
Starting from £11, the collection includes screwdrivers, hammers, a wrench (or spanner), a foldable ruler, toolboxes and caddies, a set of Allen keys, a spirit level and an LED torch, among other things.
We particularly like the look of the Lacquered Tool Box with Compartments, as it’s a nifty storage solution that could be used for storing any number of small items, from nuts, bolts and screws to make-up and hair bobbles – the choice is yours.
