Despite following hundreds of people on social media, there are a select few celebrities who we genuinely like to keep up to date with – one of them being Holly Willoughby. From her enviable outfits to refreshing and positive messages, we can’t help but want to know what the This Morning presenter is up to.
In September, Holly Willoughby announced the launch of her new lifestyle brand, Wylde Moon. Wylde Moon is a website full of curated content surrounding Holly’s beauty, fashion and family life recommendations. On the site, you’ll find a monthly mood board, as well as interviews with Holly. She’s also got a podcast where she chats to celebrity guests about phases of their life according to the eight phases of the moon…
Ah, so that’s where the name comes from.
‘Wylde Moon is the embodiment of me reaching a stage in life where, although I have lots of experience, I still don’t fully know who I am,’ Holly explains in her first interview on the website.
‘I want Wylde Moon to be a place where I can share the things that I love, the lessons that I’ve learnt, the things I see and instantly want to share with others. I want it to be a place where we can celebrate other people, too, where we can shine a light on them, their brands, their experiences.’
The latest update from Holly’s brand is that it has launched a 12-piece jewellery collection, made in collaboration with independent brand Kirstie Le Marque. The Love You to the Moon & Back collection combines Kirstie Le Marque’s vintage aesthetic with Holly’s love for all this spirituality and astrology, so expect plenty of star and moon motifs embellished with pavé diamonds, moonstone, crystal quartz and black onyx.
Available to shop at kirstielemarque.com, it’s not cheap, with prices starting from £100 for a pair of studs, but it is beautiful and well worth the investment (or asking for as a gift!).
Two candles and a diffuser were also recently launched in the Boutique section of the website, which launched on 20 October.
‘Ever since WYLDE MOON came into being, I knew that the very first product I wanted to develop would be a signature scented candle,’ Holly wrote in an Instagram caption. ‘Life’s just better when you light a candle. There’s something so relaxing about looking into a flame; the glow of the candle as it fills the room, the shadows it throws up against the wall. And then when you combine that with something that smells delicious, which ignites all of your other senses as well, you’ve got something pretty special going on in your home.’
‘The Wild’ candle is described as ‘an aromatic blend, crafted by British perfumers from high-quality, sustainable, botanical ingredients, to energise and invigorate’. It can be bought as a natural wax single wick candle for £40, a three wick candle for £65, or a reed diffuser for £45.
A team of women (and one man) will help create content for the website each month. Award-winning journalist Dr Ateh Jewel is in charge of the beauty column. Make up artist Patsy O’Neill, hairstylist Ciler Peksah and stylist Danielle Whiteman will lead the style section of the site.
Getting in touch with her spiritual side, Holly has also included a section called Wylde Energy, where healer, crystal reader and meditation teacher Emma Lucy Knowles is named as Energy Editor. What’s even more intriguing, is that the moon (yes, the actual moon in the sky) is listed on the Wylde Family page, as being responsible for ‘Guidance and Intuition’.
It turns out Holly has ‘always been fascinated with the moon, space, shooting stars and looking up,’ as she explains. Her spirituality apparently started when she went to Australia to host I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
As she was without her kids for three weeks, Holly reflected: ‘For the first time in a long time, I didn’t really know what to do with myself. Australia is the land of alternative therapies, and the town that I was in truly had all kinds of things for all kinds of people. Through this wonderful kinesiologist called Josie, I really started to unlock pieces of myself and when I came back to England, I knew that I didn’t want to stop everything I’d learnt.’
‘Wylde Moon feels very personal to me and, even though I am someone who lives a lot of their life out there for people to read about, there’s still a lot of me that I’ve kept to myself. Part of that I’ve done for protection and part of that is because I’m still working it all out,’ the TV presenter continued.
Holly Willoughby launched Wylde Moon about a month before her debut book, Reflections, was released in October (and is already a Sunday Times bestseller). It’s clear to see she’s been a busy woman! We can’t wait to see what else is to come – whether you’re into her more spiritual side or not.
