One of our favourite high-end high street stores, Whistles, has launched a kidswear range for the first time and, as expected, it is equal parts adorable and stylish.
The playful yet practical collection is designed for 3-9 year olds and is inspired by on-rotation staples from Whistles’ womenswear collection. This means some of the pieces actually match the grown-up designs you know and love, creating the possibility of an adorable mini-me moment.
Each piece is iconically Whistles – the collection is imbued with that same utilitarian and easy-wearing ethos the brand is known for. That means there’s button-up jackets, jersey sweatshirts and trousers, embroidered T-shirts and relaxed-cut trousers, with contemporary touches such as oversized collars and collegiate-style sweatshirts.
Then there are the staples from the womenswear collection that have been reinvented for the Whistles kidswear, carrying that signature sartorial DNA across from the mainline collection, allowing you to seamlessly match with your little ones.
Coming from Whistles, you’d be forgiven for thinking the price tags would be a bit on the eye-watering side. But in fact, prices range from £16-£45, so while they might be a snip above your everyday prices, these would make fantastic special occasion outfits or gifts for little nieces and nephews.
