Wedding season is nearly upon us and, as we’re still playing catch-up for the couple of years lost to lockdowns, it’s going to be busy. Being a guest as couples say ‘I do’ in manor houses, registry offices, churches and exotic beaches can be wonderful, but working out what to wear is often tricky.
With rules including no white, no black and avoiding the colour worn by the bridesmaids, it can all be a bit of a minefield. Luckily, the high street is full of wedding guest outfits, offering everything from florals to polka dots, bright colours to more muted tones.
Wedding guest outfit ideas
FLORAL DRESS
Florals are a fail-safe when it comes to weddings, and with so many options on offer, it’s unlikely that anyone will turn up in the same outfit. Paired with simple shoes and minimal accessories, very little needs to be added to a floral print dress to make it pop.

CLASSIC JUMPSUIT
Jumpsuits are another go-to for wedding guest attire for anyone not a fan of dresses. Simple, elegant and easily dressed up with heels or paired back with flats, you’ll be able to dance the night away without fear or a soggy hem.

LADYLIKE LACE
For a more traditional wedding, classic colour blocking works perfectly, and you can add your own twist by choosing lace, silk or a clean crepe. When opting for one colour we recommend going a bit wild with the accessories for added oomph – think headbands, heels and even a beaded clutch.
