With new, tougher restrictions implemented across the UK for the Christmas and New Year period, we can safely say that a lot of us are going to be ringing in 2021 virtually. But that’s no reason to be disheartened as there’s tons of fun to be had online.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay ’20

Usually, you’d have to be in Edinburgh to take part in Hogmany, the Scots’ version of New Year’s Eve, but this year anyone, anywhere can tune in online and see the festivities take place. The five-day event is being led by an epic line-up of Scottish talent, including David Tennant, award winning poet and Scottish Makar (Scotland’s Poet Laureate) Jackie Kay, Celtic fusion band Niteworks and Scottish actors Lorne MacFadyen and Siobhan Redmond. Tune in for free here every evening from 28 December 2020 – 1 January 2021.

Bring cocktail hour to you by joining in with this virtual mixology class taking place on NYE brought to you by The Last Talisman. The £90 ticket includes your access to the virtual class (led by cocktail master Dre Masso) and a cocktail kit sent to you including all the ingredients, mixers and garnishes you’ll need (and a measuring jigger) to create three classic Talisman cocktails each for two people.
