Universal Orlando has opened a new hotel with prices from £57 per night

Have you still yet to book your family holiday this year? Well, Universal Orlando might just have made life a lot easier for you.

Universal Orlando Endless Summer Resort

The popular sunshine state resort has just launched a brand new budget hotel for families, and you won’t believe the affordable prices on offer – doing the Florida theme park run just got a whole lot cheaper…

Universal’s Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn and Suites are the ultimate place for a fun-filled getaway this summer, and you can book a stay there for as little as £57 per night ($73). That means a seven-night stay could cost just £399 per person. Talk about a summer bargain!

The new hotel is comprised of 750 rooms, and boasts a huge surfboard-shaped pool, a games room, fitness centre and a Beach Break Cafe serving a range of food options throughout the day.

However, most exciting of all, the hotel will allow guests to receive early entry to all three of its theme parks (though you’ll of course have to purchase tickets for these separately).

For big families, the hotel offers two-bedroom suites which can sleep up to six people and boast two rooms, a kitchenette area, a bathroom with separate bath and vanity areas, as well as a picnic table. Prices for these rooms start from $111 for a seven night stay (around £87) and are perfect for multi-generational trips.

Most family holidays consist of immediate relatives such as parents and their children. But this year, many British families are extending their groups by inviting grandparents and sometimes even aunties, uncles and cousins on their summer breaks.

As we reported back in May, the new trend was reported by Virgin Holidays, who surveyed 1,000 parents and 1,000 grandparents before ultimately finding that a surprising 70 per cent of the participants had taken a holiday with their extended relatives, while 52 per cent had taken trips abroad with their entire family.

Universal sounds like a great option if you ask us…
