We’re not sure if you’ve noticed, but this summer’s polka dot craze has swiftly been replaced by animal prints as soon as we enter the autumn months – which is why Topshop’s latest move is fitting to say the least.
Remember the high street giant’s sell-out Mix Spotted Midi Dress? The one that had everyone talking, and more importantly, had us all desperately running to the tills at our local branch? Well, it has been redesigned for A/W 18, and is now available in a snakeskin print to fit the season’s hottest trend.
For those who need their memories jogged, the cult polka dress was one of Topshop’s most popular items this year. It was not only restocked multiple times due to high demand, and back in June, it returned with a new colourway before also being released in a floral design and zebra print. This time, however, the revamp comes with an increase in price.
After enduring huge success with the dress over the past few months, Topshop has added an extra £10 to the price tag for the new snakeskin version – sneaky!
The Snake Pleated Pinafore Dress is now available for £65. But something tells us that won’t stop devoted customers from getting their hands on it – us included.
Just like the original, the chic dress is detailed with a pleated skirt and a plunge neckline that cuts down into a deep V-neck. It can be styled in a number of different ways so before you start panicking about which bra to wear with it (if any) – fear not.
You may have spotted that plenty of women have opted to style the dress with a long sleeve t-shirt or polo neck – for those who want to be more weather appropriate – underneath it. That way, you’ll be bang on-trend whilst also avoiding any winter chill. Win, win!
